Redcliff, AB - Superintendent Brian Andjelic would like to congratulate Boyd Craven who has accepted the position of Principal at Parkside School.
Boyd started his teaching career with Prairie Rose School Division in 2002 as a teacher. Since 2009, he has also worked as vice-principal of Ralston School and Parkside School. For the past four months, Boyd has filled the acting-principal position at Parkside School. In addition to a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, he holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Science in Education from Walden University in Minneapolis.
“Having worked in the Redcliff community for the past four years as vice-principal has allowed me to build on past successes and develop new opportunities for students in this community,” says Craven. “The school team has worked hard to improve relationships, build teacher capacity and increase collaboration in a number of areas including Career and Technology Foundations, and literacy and numeracy.”
“Boyd has done an excellent job in his role as acting-principal of Parkside School,” says Superintendent Brian Andjelic. “Parkside has strong team of educators committed to student success and building relationships. Boyd is a great fit to continue this success forward.”
Boyd Craven will officially assume the role of principal on July 1, 2017.
